Tami’s Meandering Thoughts

I know many of you were praying about this morning’s talk I did at the Quilting Weekend down at Montrose Bible Conference, so I thought I would give a brief update. I thought the morning was wonderful. The women were so accepting and gracious, and many commented on the story (thank you all for reading it and giving me comments- whether in person, email or here). I would love to share more in person. Thank you for praying. There were many comments that God was working! If you think of it, you could continue praying for the women who were there. Thank you!

Some of you reading this may be women from that conference! (I laid out copies of The Life-Quilt story with this blog-site on it for anyone who wanted it, and they were all gone by the time I left). Welcome! Just to brief you in on what this site is about, I have no set agenda except to ponder things about life, God, the Bible…really whatever I am thinking about recently! Often I will base it on something I read in my devotions, but sometimes they are just updates about my life. Just a disclaimer: I do not spend a lot of time proofing what I write here or making sure I used the “best” word etc. These are often just quick jots so we can all keep in contact and support each other.

I love to have comments. At the end of the talk I read Psalm 8, so I’ll leave you with this thought:

O Lord, our sovereign Master, how magnificent is your reputation throughout the earth! You reveal your majesty in the heavens above! When I look up at the heavens, which your fingers made, and see the moon and the stars, which you set in place, I think, “Of what importance is mankind, that you should pay attention to them, and make them almost like the heavenly beings? You grant mankind honor and majesty, you allow them to rule over your creation; you have placed everything under their authority, including all the sheep and cattle, as well as the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea and everything that moves through the channels of the seas. O Lord, our sovereign Master, how magnificent is your reputation throughout the earth!
